Help with Location for Photo Shoot and Dinner in Hilton Head

Hi everyone,

My family will be spending the week of Thanksgiving in Blufton SC, at my home of my brother-in-law's family, and they're hosting Thanksgiving dinner. On Friday after Thanksgiving, the plan is to drive to Hilton Head where we'll take some nice family photos (snapshots) at sunset and then take everyone out to dinner. I've never been to Hilton Head before...can anyone recommend a location for an amateur photo shoot, that would be fairly close to a good restaurant? (Or near several restaurants to choose from.)

I'm pretty open to restaurant ideas but I'm leaning toward seafood, which I'm sure isn't hard to find! There will be three children ages 5, 3 and 6 months. They are well-behaved, but it still should be fairly family friendly...nothing too stuffy. It doesn't have to be anyplace terribly fancy. Maybe about $30 per person, but very flexible here; I know seafood can easily be more. Also, it would have to be able to accommodate our party of 15.

Any suggestions for a photo location and restaurant would be greatly appreciated!

The sunsets will be gorgeous that time of year.

I can't give you an exact location but you want to shoot for a sunset over some marsh so a marina or private dock.

The colors are unreal.

Thanks for the reply GoTravel. I'm glad to hear there are such great colors this time of year!

How crowded are the beaches in Hilton Head around Thanksgiving. I wouldn't think it would be too bad this time of year, but with the holiday, perhaps it's very crowded!

No, you shouldn't have a problem.

Mainly homeowners in their rentals that time of year.

I'd contact someone at the Chamber of Commerce and ask them. You can scout out the location the day or two ahead of time.
