Help with hotel in San Diego
 

Next week my girlfriend and me will be visiting relatives for 5 days. I have narrowed my choices (but I am open to suggestions)to either the Wyndham San Diego at Emerald Plaza or the Sheraton at Harbor Island. Any comments are greatly appreciated.<BR><BR>Carlos

Carlos, not sure where the San Diegans are.(shopping or wrapping presents perhaps.) I was raised and lived in S.D many years and try to help people, although since I don't presently reside there I sometimes don't give current info. But I will try and I WILL be corrected if I am wrong. I think the Emerald Plaza would be the better of the 2 because it is in the downtown area. Harbor Island is very close to the airport. It is not really close to anything within walking distance outside of one hotel after another. The downtown one is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants. There is also a harbor cruise excursion you can take. There is Seaport Village, and I believe a trolley to take a tour of the city.

yeah, if those are your two choices, choose downtown.

Well, I'm a San Diegan. I would go with the Wyndham because of the location.<BR><BR>formersd, at 7:27EST, most San Diegans are asleep.

AH!!! That is where you were! Sleeping of course. 7:27 EST made that 4:27 a.m. Even during the Holidays the Malls are not open quite that early!! Well Carlos, looked like I called that one right.
