Help with Hotel Choices

As recommended by previous post I have secured reservations with two hotels that can be canelled up to 24 hours in advance.
I have booked the Double Tree Guest Suites at Times Square at a rate of 209.00 for two nights and can use hhonors pt. the third night. I have also booked the Hilton New York for 155.00 one night; 169.00 second night; hhonors pts. for the additional night. The Hilton New York also has an executive level room for 182.00 first night; 199.00 2nd night; but hhonors can't guarantee what type of room for the points night.. The Double Tree Suites offers two room suites with ref. and microwave; located at Times Square. I have stayed in a Manhatten hotel so a two room suite sound like a good size room for Manhatten standards. The Exucutive Level at Hilton New York offers things such as cont. breakfast, free coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruit, and cookies all day.
I will be traveling with 2 teenage boys(ages l6 and l7) and my husband. Thus, making the excutive level at Hilton NY look favorable.
Out of these two choices including special features, which is my best choice for my traveling needs????
Now for the probably overasked question. Should I try to do booking on Hotwire or Priceline????
Any suggestions or reviews from stays at either hotel would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you are concerned about room size or amenities, then Priceline is not for you. Also, they only book rooms for two people, so you'd need to bid for two rooms.

In choosing between the Doubletree suite and the Hilton, I guess it depends on whether your boys want space or free food!

I guess the answer that I am looking for is opinions on the two hotels.
The Hilton New York doesn't have very good reviews on fodors, and I can't find any on the Double Tree. The Double Tree is fairly new and has some good reviews elsewhere. I was just wondering if the whole excutive level thing at Hilton NY was just a ploy to get you to stay there??? Any opinions from travelers who might have stayed at either of these two properties would be appreciated.

Try using travelocity.com for choices. We just booked a room with the Renaissance (Marriot) Time Square BUT be sure and look at the individual hotel web sites for the best deals plus beware that unless you book direct they wont guarantee room or bed types
