Help with cottage rental at Florida Keys

I am looking for a place to rent in Jan.'08 for about two weeks. My husband is a duck hunter and is usually away from home at that time so I want to blow town and read, rest, play music, paint, excercise, drink and eat. I'm sure a girlfriend or two will join me for part of the time so I need two bedrooms. It doesn't have to be much but definately clean! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Libby

Libby, the keys are 150 miles long. Did you have a preference of keys? In my opinion, Key West is the most interesting (and most fun), but also the most expensive.

Try vrbo.com. Have had good luck locating rentals directly with owners at this site.

Another option is keywestinns.com.

There are a lot of opportunities to rent homes in Key West. Google "key West vacation rentals" for options. Stay away from Rent Key West, I'm still waiting on an apology and refund from 4 years ago.

I found a great place to stay in the Keys. Amazingly I found it on Ebay. Put "Vacation rental lower keys" in your search and look for the listing by PrivatePilot43 The couple that rents the apartment are some of the nicest people we have met and made the trip very special with their great advice. I feel like we got the most out of the Keys. And their price is rediculously low.
