Help with choice of Inn in Cape Cod

Does anyone have any first hand information on either the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham or on the Whalewalk Inn in Eastham. I am looking for a very nice Inn with good food and a water view or access. Thanks.

We stayed at the Chatham Bars Inn last June and it is lovely. I almost cried when we pulled up in front because it was so beautiful, especially after the dump we had just check out of in Boston. Chatham is the place to be. It is an ideal location on the Cape, right in the middle, easy to explore other towns from there. The only other town I would consider if I went back would be Brewster, seemed to be a few nice large inns in that area and still very central. Chatham Bars has water view rooms with nice large patios, not private (they are roped off between other patios), but large, spacial and beautiful. The pool/jacuzzi is across the street near the water and a restaurant. I must admit it it was expensive, $400 per night during high season, but worth it compared to others we saw. It is also within walking to the cutest little main street with shopping and restaurants. You mail e-mail me directly if you have any other questions. Enjoy, I'm jealous!

the Weequassit Inn (just north of Chatham).. Not as large as Chatham
Bars Inn, but they have cozy rooms
and if you're lucky separate cabins.
Haven't been there in 2 yrs, avg's +$300
per night.

save yourself the trouble and go to Martha's Vineyard instead. Stay at the Point Way Inn, the Charlotte inn (if $$ is not a concern) or rent a house...you will remember it forever - the shores, the sand, the sunsets - all on an island!

If I'm not mistaken, the Whalewalk Inn in Eastham does not have ocean/water views. Check their website at http://www.whalewalkinn.com.

We have been summer visitors to Chatham for the past 19 years and it is probably the most quaint town on the Cape. I may be a bit biased! Chatham Bars is a beautiful place and excellent for dinner, great beach area. Another to do is to take a shuttle boat to the South Beach, great for seeing seals and really totally private. have fun
