Help! Where to go?

Help!
Me and DH have just decided to take a mini vacation the day after xmas somewhere nice and warm. We would really like to go on a budget, but need some ideas on good place to go for maybe 4 days? Thought about Disneyworld but the airlines seem to be booked up?? If not it's toooo expensive!
Any suggestions?
Thx!!

First of all, where are you starting from? North, South, East or West? Regardless of origin or destination, you might try to travel on Christmas Day if you want a real bargain. Most of the airlines have special prices on holidays but they don't announce them until a few days before. If you're adventuresome, wait till Christmas week and see what is offered and then play it by ear. Go for whatever is available. You could have a great time. We once travelled on Christmas day from LaGuardia to Houston for $99 round trip. We booked it two days before Christmas and stayed four days. It was great. Check with airlines a few days before or register with each of them to be notified of their 'special deals'. Good luck and have fun!

I agree with traveling on Christmas maybe even late Christmas. How about SanDiego or Cancun since I don't know where you starting from.

The advice above is good - if you can travel on Xmas day, do it because you'll get real bargains - the airlines just want to fill their empty seats. Even late on Xmas day would bee good. Come 26th things get more difficult, but look for last minute deals in the papers -there'll be loads. Carribean/FLKeys are popular, but try NV or similar winter locations for sun.

Thanks for the info!! We are traveling from Michigan(Midwest). How late xmas day??? We do have plans to meet with family on xmas, but if they offer night flights that would be acceptable.
I'll keep an eye out.
