Help! Wedding favors in Manhattan?!!

Hi

I am posting from Ireland . I am travelling to NY in November and I would like to get some winter/snowflake themed wedding favors for our Dec 29th wedding.

I have seem some really pretty ones on various websites but most won't mail to Ireland.

Can anyone suggest any wedding accessory shops in the Manhattan area that I could check out? Manbe ones with web sites? My trip is only for 4 days

Thanks everyone!

In November all the Christmas decorations will be in the stores so you should not have a problem finding something that will work.

I would check some of the paper stores, and the Hallmark and Carlton Card shops, they are all over the city. They usually carry those kind of items.

Also there is a Christmas Shop on 7th Ave around 54th St and of course Macy's and KMart will have Christmas displays already up as well.

Have a fun time while you are here, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

My wedding was 2 years ago in june, and our "colors" were green and pink. At Christmas we went to Kate's Paperie and bought "tubes" full of small green translucent ornaments. They came in a bunch of colors (12-15 to a tube I think) and were all different shapes, much like the crystal baubles on old-fashioned chandeliers. We used them to hang around the venue for decoration and they were beautiful and very original.
Many people also took one home with them for a memento. They would be beautiful for favors because each one is different, yet unified by style and color. They would look great to have one each placesetting, with a small tag with the bride and grooms name on them. Also, then the wedding guests could use them again on their xmas trees!

Steveigene

Thank you so much. Do you know if these 'Tubes' are shown on the wesite. I;m having a look but can't see them

Perhaps I am looking in the wrong area - there are lots of 'Headings!'

Tks!

I dont know if they would be up yet, because its not christmastime. I'll have a look round and see if I can find them.

Ok,
Sorry about the wait. I called Kate's and they don't know if they will have the ornaments I was talking about. But they said to check the website in another month or so (after halloween) to see. Otherwise attached are some links for wholesalers that sell these jewel-like ornaments. That way you know what Im talking about - or what to look for.

http://www.davirex.com/ ( I thought Pagoda was prettiest)
http://www.cristalier.com (a variety of shapes - we had top & bell shapes and just the bottoms of the pendants shown here)
http://mcgillswarehouse.com (all different styles - you could order 10 each of 10 types) very coool.

Good luck!!
