Help! Road trip from Hilton Head to Boston

We are traveling back from Hilton Head to Boston this Saturday. We plan to take 5 days/4 nights for the trip. It will be me & my husband and our 3 kids ages 4, 7 & 9. On the way down we stopped in Lancaster Pa & went to Dutch Wonderland, a Hampton Inn in VA off of 77, and the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord NC. I spent a lot of time planning the trip down, but no time planning the trip home & I'm starting to panic!

We're pretty much open to taking any route home as long as we don't hit too much traffic. We don't want to drive more than 6 hours in any day. We love nice resorts, unique hotels/motels, theme parks, water parks, natural attractions (I.e. river tubing, caverns etc). In other words we're pretty much open for anything besides just staying in boring roadside hotels.

Thanks!
