HELP! Priceline for Key West?

Hi there everyone,
Just wanted to check whether anyone has had any experiences using Priceline for Key West. I'm really tempted to use it, but don't want to end up with a property outside of Old Town. It looks like it might be somewhat safe to only bid for a "resort", which seems to get you one of the Wyndham properties, but any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I used priceline to bid for a "resort" for next week in key west. We got Wyndham Casa Marina for $100 a night. I understand that it's a walking distance from Mallory Square and Old Town but we don't mind that. The hotel looks pretty nice (from their website.)

Good Luck

Casa Marina is tops. It is walking distance to great Louis' (sp) Backyard. You will want a moped to zip around on I think. Get a massage by beach at Casa ~ you will be able to do everything in Key West but retreat a bit by staying there. Just great! MP

Casa Marina is a dump and one that over charges at that! I have never seen a resort nickle and dime someone to death like that one. Louie's is no better.

Got to agree with the poster above.

Casa Marina is not wonderful, but it's fine. Key West isn't big enough to worry about being outside of Old Town. How much time will you spend in your room? No matter where you stay, if it's in Key West, you'll be within a couple of miles of Old Town.
