Help please, Pensacola Beach with no car, where to stay?

I really need your advice. Two people 18 and 21 in Pensacola Beach for 3 days with no car. Where would be the best hotel location to stay at where they could walk to restaurants and some sort of other attractions. Maybe a beach shop or two, just something other that pool, beach and hotel. Thanks so much for your input.

Hampton Inn: http://www.hamptonbeachresort.com/ I have not stayed here but my adult kids have and really liked the location, being able to walk to restaurants and having a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean.

Every hotel on Pensacola Beach is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, watercraft rentals, etc., especially when you're only 18 and 21. The hotel furthest from the action is Holiday Inn on Fort Pickens Road.

Hampton, Hilton, Comfort, Days Inn, Springhill Suites, and Margueritaville are all good options. All of these are Gulf front except the Comfort inn, which is on Sabine Bay across the street from the Gulf.

Thanks so much for the advice. They are deciding between the Hilton and the Hampton. Happy Travels!!

April,

There's also a free trolley which runs on the weekends from the core area - where the hotels and most restaurants are - to Peg Leg's Restaurant (west of the core and a very popular spot) and all the way to the beginning of the the National Seashore land toward Fort Pickens. It also runs east, but I'm not sure how far it goes. But if it's just blisteringly hot, it can be nice to ride from the core area to a couple of restaurants not all that far from the core. Sorry I don't know more about the trolley but I rarely ride it, generally either walk or bike to the core.
