Help plan anniversary in/near Philly

Hello,
I am in charge of planning a short get-away for my 5th anniversary. It will be the first time that we will be away from our baby, who will be 7 months, so we don't want to go too far. We live in Doylestown, Bucks County. I am thinking of doing a night in Philly & doing some of the touristy stuff...liberty bell, Constitution Center, etc. I actually used to live in Philly (went to college & grad school there), and my husband and I have had lots of fun times there. Haven't been there as a couple in a while though!

So, I was wondering about hotel suggestions (never had to stay in one there). Also a romantic restaurant, preferably BYOB. It would be great if we could walk from the hotel to the restaurant. We will be going in Nov & our budget is somewhat limited (maybe I should try Priceline?).

I am also open to other suggestions for different areas (was thinking maybe a B&B around here, but thought that we wouldn't have much to do during the day that we don't do on a regular basis).

Thanks for any suggestions!

I would totally use Priceline for Philly, I have on several occassions this year. In February, I got the Hilton Garden Inn which is DT Philly, only a couple of blocks away from the sites for $35 a night; and same place in August for $45/night. The hotel was beautiful and had an indoor pool. For dinner, I would recommend going to the historic Tavern - the food was amazing and very romantic. Good luck!

For a romantic BYO, go to Overtures (609-611 E Passyunk Ave) right below South Street. They serve excellent food, and offer a prix fix menu which during the week can be a real bargain.

Also try chowhound.com for more foodie ideas.

Priceline would be a good way to stay at a nice hotel on a low budget.

Restaurants:
D'jango (BYOB) at 526 South 4th St (btw Lombard & South). Delicious french food, and make sure you save room for the cheese plate. If you're planning to go on a weekend, call 1 month ahead for reservations. You won't regret it.

Matyson (also BYOB) at 37 S. 19th Street (btw Market & Chestnut). Not TOO romantic but great food.

For more romantic places:
Duex Cheminees (a bit pricey) at 1221 Locust St
Fri Sat Sun at 261 S. 21st St
Astral Plane at 1708 Lombard St
Beau Monde at 624 S. Sixth St
Bistro St Tropez at 2400 Market St
