Help plan a family reunion in VA, WV, or MD

Hello everybody, I could use some help pulling together a family reunion for next summer. We have many people of many ages, locations, and budgets and its proving to be difficult. First is location. We have family members coming from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and the Carolinas so we're trying to find a spot that is pretty centrally located. My thoughts were looking into Virginia, West Virginia, or Maryland.
Ages range from infants, preschoolers, newlyweds, young parents, grandparents, and a great grandparent. We'd like a spot on or near water, whether it be a beach location or mountain/lake. We'd like some areas that offer some sort of restaurants or shopping nearby, and we do have some golfers so if there were golf somewhere in the vicinity that would be a huge plus.
Finally, we need a location where we can find accomodations to hold a large number of people (about 30) either in one large home rental, cabins, villa, condo, etc. Basically, we're not looking for a hotel, we want cooking facilities and a place where we can all gather in one spot.
Any suggestions, advice, or ideas for me to look into would be so appreciated!

You didn't mention a budget but Oglebay resort in Wheeling, WV might fit your requirements. There is a lodge as well as cabins. I stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin a few years ago and seem to recall there was cooking facilities, although we ate at the lodge. Years ago Wheeling was the summer home of the NY Mob (I kid you not!) and has some pretty good restaurants and Italian food still. There is a casino in Wheeling, the resort has pool, golf, horseback riding, entertainment and other resort-type activities. That area is known for glass making and there are arts/crafts places in the area to shop. Really pretty setting and I believe pretty reasonable. Located near major highways, it would be accessible for your family members.

So funny you would suggest Ogleby, the last time we did a family reunion at a resort destination, which was about 7 years ago, we went to Ogleby! We all had a great time and we rented 3 of the cabins there which was perfect for our group. We would love to something very similar to that again, but hoping for something on a larger lake which would offer swimming, fishing, boating, etc. We did find the mountain setting perfect and we all had a great time.
