help! Need Napa/Sonoma B&B
 

We're planning to be in wine country the last weekend in October (Thurs/Fri). Need accomodations and the 5+ B&B's I've contacted are full. Any Ideas or suggestions. Prefer small, victorian or traditional If we're having trouble finding a B&B <BR>Will we have difficulty getting a hotel too?

Try searching one of the B and B listing sites(ie BandB.com) you should get quite a few places to try from that. We recently stayed at the Inn at Occidental in the Russian River area of Sonoma and loved it. <BR>I've also stayed at the Vintage Inn in Yountville(Napa County) which is a larger property but quite nice.

Have you looked into the Healdsburg area? Camellia Inn (707)433-8182, The Grape Leaf Inn 433-8140 or Madrona Manor (800) 258-4003? The Madrona is not small, but it is beautiful. Don't panic we have plenty of hotel rooms id you don't find a B&B. An alternative in Santa Rosa in Old Railroad Square might be La Rose Hotel. It is a historical hotel in an easy place to hop on 101 to go to wineries.Hope all goes well! <BR>

Look up Napavalley.com (it's the website for Napa Valley's tourist authority and info center). They have an extensive list of lodging by town in Napa Valley. We stayed at the Vintage Inn last month and liked it very much. There's a wonderful spa next door at the Villagio and some wonderful restaurants (Bouchon and Bistro Genty) within walking distance.

thanks for the info. Was on the napa and sonoma sites, called and emailed many and all are full. Only thing available seems to be cottages and I'm a little nervous about those. Appreciate the help and ideas for dinner. Any other suggestions, best winery..we thought we'd hit one each day..and look for good antique shops.

I've found that you can secure a reservation easier by calling directly, as opposed to trying to book it over the <BR>internet. Have you tried Bartels B&B? <BR>I think it's in St. Helena. Napa has <BR>an Embassy Suites. There are always Best <BR>Western Motels too. One's as good as another up there in Wine Country. Harvest Inn is nice, but a rip-off. Sutter Home B&B looks nice. Call directly.

Just remembered the FarmHouse Inn in Forestville/ Gurneville. Right in the vineyards. Great food with individual cottage like rooms. Hope you found something to met your needs. <BR> <BR>

Try Fanny's in Calistoga. Great place. Nice lady. Just at the top of the valley.
