Help me use some Marriot Points in Hawaii!

I have to use up 7 nights of Marriott points! At least 5 of them on Oahu. Do I want to spend the beginning or end of my stay on KoOlina? Or do I even want to do KoOlina at all? Maybe just spend the whole time on Waikiki?
Help me with this wonderful delima (sic).

iceeu2--What a great dilemna! We, too, have another week of Marriott points to use up. IMHO, I would do both resorts. That way, you can get a feel for the "real" Hawaii away from Waikiki. Don't get me wrong, I love Waikiki. But I love the rest of the island, too. This time (in 31 days!) we're going straight to Maui, but staying in 2 different Marriotts over a 10 day period. Have fun deciding!

I loved staying at KoOlina. It's a beautiful resort and you're away from the crowds of Waikiki, but if you are looking for more action don't stay at KoOlina.

Another vote for doing both. as for doing Ko'Olina at the beginning or the end, I guess it depends on how you want to end up on your vacation. I think you may be much more relaxed at Ko'Olina, so you may want to do that first, then go to Waikiki to help ease you back into going back to the mainland. I'm just thinking, going straight from Ko'olina to the mainland may shock your system! (not to mention, it's kinda out in the boonies and you may want more activities at some point.)

We are planning 5 nights on Oahu and then onto Kauai for 9 nights. So, you think maybe Waikiki 3 nights and KoOlina 2 nights?....Waikiki 1st for living it up...then KoOlina 3 nights to prepare for Kauai?
I think maybe delimma is spelled with 2 m's?
