HELP ME PLAN!

MY FAMILY WILL BE TAKING A VACATION IN EARLY APRIL, BUT CAN'T DECIDE WHERE TO GO. WE HAVE A 17 YEAR OLD AND A 12 YEAR OLD. WANT TO FLY TO DESTINATION WHERE THERE IS ENOUGH TO DO AND SEE, PREFERABLY HISTORICAL, BUT WITH RELAXING ATMOSPHERE- NOT A LOT OF WALKING. HAVE SEEN DISNEY, SEA WORLD, ETC., LOOKING MORE FOR SNOW OR ADVENTURE. ANY IDEAS? TRIP WILL BE FOR 4-5 NIGHTS. THANKS

Suggestions: Williamsburg, VA or Washington DC or Baltimore MD

My, but you may want to be polite and preceed your request with "please". AND, you may want to stop SHOUTING - all caps is offensive to those folks who may otherwise be inclined to post recommendations...

How about the Canadian Rockies? It's not in the U.S. but your dollar is worth alot in Canada. Got snow.
Washington DC sounds like a great choice. There is a lot to do - like the Smithsonian, which alone could occupy you for the entire trip. DC is a particularly good spot because many things there are geared for families. However, the Smithsonian can require a lot of time on your feet - even if you drive from building to building along the way. Also plenty of historical stuff to see in DC too.

For snow and history in early April, check out New England, maybe based in Boston. More history there than just about anywhere else in the U.S, and you can drive to snow in about a day. You'll have the charm of Cape Cod to yourself (but the beaches will be freezing), or drive up the coast to Maine if you like rugged seashore.

There is more snow, but a LOT less history, in Denver. It might meet your needs, however.
