Help me pick among these three hotels in Phoenix

We are heading down to Phoenix in April to hang out at the pool, have some nice dinners, and visit some friends. We do not have children and prefer to stay at a more adult-oriented resort. I have narrowed the choices to Westin Kierland, Biltmore, and Hyatt Gainey Ranch. The prices are failrly comparable with the Hyatt being the most expensive. We are familiar with the Westin Kierland but not the other two. Can anyone provide some pros and cons of these hotels? Particularly quality of accomodations, pool area, proximity to dining options, etc.

If the Biltmore is an option; I'd stay there-it's such a gorgeous hotel (nice SPA, too). Centrally located-convenient to other shopping, dining, etc. The Hyatt Gainey Ranch is also quite spectacular, but IMHO I just like the Biltmore-the history; the look and feel of it as well as a couple of my favorite shops.
I wasn't as impressed with the Kierland area-it's kind of a planned area, compact with restaurants, shops, etc. Not quite as interesting to me; but upscale and everything is right there. :)

Thanks. We were originally leaning toward the Biltmore but I have read a few reviews since that said the rooms needed updating and just weren't at the same level as the public areas of the hotel. We would stay at the Hyatt in a heartbeat but the price is about $60 a night more than the Westin. It looks like they all have great pool areas. I understand what you are saying about the Kierland area - it is a little Disney-like and sterile but certainly very nice. Thanks again.

IMHO I think Westin Kierland is overrated. Convenient to shopping yes, but I don't think it is up to typical Westin standards even though it is so new. I don't have experience with the Biltmore but have heard good things from others. Depending on the number of days, I'd spend the extra $60 and go for the Hyatt.

I think I would go for the Hyatt. I also think that Kierland is overrated. Like npurpleh2 said, it's close to shopping, but that's it.
