Help me, Patrick, and other Naples and Florida experts

I will be visiting a friend in Naples for just one day. I know she will allow me some shopping time, but I need to have a pretty clear target . No aimless meandering up and down Fifth Avenue on this trip.
Objective: I am looking for the best sale possible on summer dresses. I like classic styles (currently in love with all Leonard dresses), daywear, not too much of a business look. Where should I go?
I will also be in Cape Coral a day and South Beach for a week. Any suggestions for shops there will also be welcomed.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the confidence, but I'm not much of an expert on this. I'd suspect one of your best bets "sale" wise would be Miramar Shops at Estero, including Saks Off Fifth.
Tops for real designer stuff in Naples is probably Marissa on Third Avenue South, but not sure how much of "sale" you'll hit there.

Thanks, Patrick.

My very favorite women's clothing shop in Naples is Marrissa on 3rd St. Sorta high end but wow <u>what merchandise</u> and sale prices were good. Problem may be though, the sales have been going on for a while...so who knows what's left.

It's been a year since I've been, and things are changing, but for me, the better shops were in the 3rd St area rather than 5th. One fabulous linens place there too. drool drool

Oops sorry...I hadn't read Patrick's entire reply and see he already mentioned Marissa. They knock BIG chunks off the price tags, but the price tags were pretty hefty to begin with. Hey...it's FUN shopping. You'll love it!

OO, I love linens. That has turned into a major splurge for me. Please name that shop if you can. I will definitely follow your advice to go to MArissa and 3rd St. Got to follow the sales.......
Thanks for taking the time to post.

The linen shop is Gattles -- lots of miscellaneous bed and bath accessories as well. It's on Third Ave. South, just south of Tommy Bahamas.

Thanks, Patrick. I will definitely check it out. I know the area. Had dinner just across the street at a really lovely place on my last visit to Naples.

Campiello, no doubt!!

Restaurant news in the area: the former manager of Tommy Bahamas has taken over the huge Mole Hole site across the street and is opening an extensive new restaurant. Not sure of opening date.

Yes, Gattles, though I couldn't have said it, so thanks Patrick! And of course, Campiellos. :) It is easy and fun spending money in Naples! Enjoy, cmcfong--I know you will!!

I appreciate the good advice, Patrick and OO. I look forward to my visit.

The best place to celebrate my grandfather's 89th birthday. He likes classy places and great food. Money is no object for this special occasion. After all he sent all of us to college and some of us to graduate schools. We are trying to plan the best possible family get together which include dinner in a classy place. Thanks
