HELP! Las Vegas Shows/Hotel with 15 year old!!
 

I'm looking for advice on which hotel would be best to stay in with a 15 year old girl. What shows would we be allowed in? Does anyone know of a good hotel with lots of different shows that arent "kiddy" but would allow a 15 year old?

Either Cirque du Solei shows (&quot;O&quot; at Bellagio or &quot;Mystere&quot; at Treasure Island).. pricey but worth it and appealing to all ages.<BR><BR>I like the Mirage... nice pool, reasonable cost, great location... and gives you ability to buy tix to either of the above shows before non-guests (90 or 60 day advance purchase instead of 30 days for the general public).

The Excaliber is geared toward kids -- you'll know why when you see it. I would probably recommend that, though it may be more for younger kids. New York New York may be good too, it has a roller coaster and a great arcade.

Second the motion on 'O' at the Bellagio or Mystere. For all ages. Also, two weeks ago also saw Danny Gantz, which I believe would be ok for mid teens. He's at the Mirage, don't know if they have a min. age.<BR><BR>Also at the Mirage, the tiger guy. Also probably good for all ages.<BR><BR>I think any of the nice hotels are fine for 15 yr olds. Any where you go, you'll have to walk through the gambling to get to the room elevators. Just tell what's going on, and tell em they have to wait a few years. <BR><BR>Oh, yeah, my wife says tell you about the outstanding shopping mall between Mirage and Treasure Island, and the mother of all outlet centers, in Primm, about 50 miles south of Las Vegas on I-15.

We stayed at Luxor with our two teen boys - it was a good situation for them. <BR><BR>Shows? Blue Man Group was super!

Avoid staying at the Excalibur, they do have alot of video games but there are better places to stay....I think a 15 year old would like the Hard Rock Cafe, Mandaly Bay (best pool)or Ceasers for the shopping.

Blue Man Group is a great &quot;all ages&quot; show. Love &quot;O&quot; and Mystre as well. I would pass on Sigfried and Roy...they are just going through the motions. New York/New York has a nice mix of this for adults and young adults without the tacky feel of an Excalibur. Enjoy!

I've heard that the Lance Burton Magic show at Monte Carlo is a good value (I am going w/a 12 yr old girl). Any feedback on that?

Lance Burton is one of the best shows for kids.....Adults will also enjoy.

I would strongly suggest Lance Burton &amp; for off the strip The Amazing Jonathan, part comedian/part magician.

Saw Lance Burton two nights ago. Good show, but I think overpriced at $60. Definitely geared toward kids, with lots of audience participation; also many interludes of dancing showgirls. <BR><BR>I actually preferred the lower-rent (and cheaper, though this was not my deciding factor) magician at the Tropicana, Rick Thomas. This is an afternoon show and costs $19. <BR><BR>Also saw Penn and Teller at the Rio, which had kids in the audience as well, and was very fun.<BR><BR>The Cirque shows are amazing, and do allow kids.<BR><BR>As far as hotels, Any of the big ones should be fine for a 15 year old, with the exception of Monte Carlo and Bellagio, which cater to an adult crowd and are less thematic and more sedate (which I like). No rides or attractions. If you can get a good price at Aladdin or Paris, I would recommend them, as they are newer and have convenient shopping that a 15 year-old might enjoy. Desert Passage at Aladdin may not be doing well financially, but they do have a good assortment of shops (L'Occitane, Sephora, etc.). If you want to spend more, try the Venetian; they have the Guggenheim Hermitage museum, which has a good exhibit right now, &quot;Masterpieces of Painting from Titian to Picasso.&quot; <BR><BR>If the pool is important, try MB as another poster suggested.<BR><BR>Have fun!<BR>
