Oh my. Many yrs. ago when I was 12 yrs. old, my older sister (who lived in Boulder) had her first baby and I went to Denver w/my Mother to help her out. We checked into a big nice downtown Denver hotel but they were having two big meetings/congregations in the hotel: Jehovah's Witnesses and the Campfire Girls. What a combination. It was unbearable, so we checked into a small Boulder motel. The bed had Magic Fingers. You had to deposit a quarter into the headboard to do the trick. I spent many months of allowance in that bed. But all I really remember is that I got very nauseated in the process. And whatever else happened to me, I have forgotten w/age. I can't beleive they actually still offer Magic Fingers anywhere. It's so 50s, or in my case, 60s.

At your rescue, Ryan (get a Kleenex to wipe that tear of relief):
up for auction on E-bay this very moment is the following gem: "This is the original Magic Fingers motel bed vibrator system, just like the models found in hotels and motels since the 1960's. The unit is coin operated..... 15 minutes for a quarter. The coinbox has been restored to nearly new condition with the original color on the doors and a new "Magic Fingers" label on the front. It has been bench tested and it works excellent".
Buy it now for $74.95, and make your home a memorial to the 'ol Tam.

Tish! I'm not in the market, but have a story. During Easter Break from
college in my Sophmore year 4 sorority
sisters venture off to the Grand Canyon
for some adventure.
After checking in to our motel,we find a "Magic Fingers"box on one of the beds. We cannot resist. We plug in our quarters and the bed jiggles away which we think
is quite hilarious (after a few beers).
Then....KER-THUNK!
The unit falls out from under the bed
and is jumping all around on the floor,
under the bed, which of course adds to the hilarity.
Tears are beginning to stream down our faces as we gasp for breath, unable to control our glee.
It took us a few minutes to recognize
the banging on the door (manager)
and pounding on the floor (from the people below). With luck, they did not blame us for causing the malfunction
and things quieted down considerably
after that.
The Grand Canyon was
not much of a night spot back then...

Not as funny as R5's story, but I remember driving through the Maritime provinces with my kids about 25 years ago - they were quite young. We would stay in motels along the way; I'd get my own room and put the kids in an adjoining one. Quite a few of those roadside spots had Magic Fingers, and one night my older son and daughter decided to play a joke on their younger brother. He was half asleep and they threw a few quarters into his Magic Fingers coin-box. Apparently he slept through most of it, but woke up at the end of it and calmly inquired if there was an earthquake going on.

I was curious, so I looked at the ebay listing. I noticed that the seller's name is mfingers, so I wondered if he was affiliated with magic fingers or had any other magic fingers product. I looked at his feedback and clicked on the sold items. Look like this dude has sold LOTS of magic fingers to LOTS of people. 246 SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. One who even commented that it was a "hit with the girls".
WRRRORRRWWWWW!!!!
