I get the most spectacular cards available, and write "WOW!" or "speechless" on them. (Well, at least I bother to send them...)

My wife is a champ at the post card writing. Several years ago on a five and a half week roadtrip of the USA she sent out a total of 135. Don't ask me how she does it. On average for our summer roadtrips she will post at least 80+ or so. Trips of a week or less she man send one or two the close friends. She has her "list" of the ones she sends to and keeps a running count of them somehow. Its my job to locate the post office.

Simply write a sentence about what you did yesterday or what you are doing at the moment. "Yesterday we had a great time wandering the streets of Paris. Love you, Dad" "We are eating lunch at a sidewalk cafe, and I wish you were here with us. Love, Mom and Dad"

I love sending postcards! I gather them up so i have a nice big selection and write them over breakfast or in the evenings. I don't necessarily write anything. Just buy great cards, address them, date them, sign your name & send 'em off!

("been there done that" sounds like you are not having a very good time, in my opinion).

Another timesaver is to take preprinted address labels from home along with you.
