HELP-hotels/B&B in Napa Valley

Looking for romantic places to stay for under $200 per night. Any and all suggestions welcome. If you have tips for fun stuff to do (in addition to drinking wine!), please share. Thanks

You might want to check out the Old World Inn, www.oldworldinn.com in Napa. Russ, the Innkeeper there posts frequenty on Tripadvisor and Winecountry.com :)

The Moonlight Sonata and the La Boheme rooms start at $179/night. It sounds very romantic here. I'd love to stay here sometime. We usually stay in St. Helena (Harvest Inn) or Yountville (Yountville Inn) when visiting Napa Valley.

The Indian Springs Resort is very nice in Calistoga, but again rooms start at about $235/night there. When we're in the area we like to wine taste and dine out. Good Luck! ***kim*** ((l))

You might want to try Maison Fleurie in Yountville. Link is below. They also have another nice inn in Yountville which I think is less expensive, and right around the corner from Maison Fleurie called Lavender (just click on their link to their other inns on Maison Fleurie page). Don't know when you are going, but did a search in May and it brought up a deluxe room for $225. We have stayed at neither of these but drove by - both are very charming and highly rated and walking distance to town. We loved Yountville. Very cute and charming.

When yah going?

In the colder months we like the Bordeaux House in Yountville as they have real wood burning fireplaces with gas lighters.

Also includes a comp breakfast in the a.m. and comp wine, brandy, cognac in the eves.

Other times we like the funky Railway Inn. Romantic? I guess it's what you make of it.

Railway Inn is closer to Pacific Blue Cafe, Hurley's, Bistro Jeanty, Bouchon's, Wine Garden, Cucina al Carte while the Bordeaux, about a 5 min walk "uptown", is closer to The Fr Laundry, Napa Valley Grille, Pere Jeaanty, Gordon's.

If you go during good weather, rent a bike meander over the "cross roads" thru the vineyards....or go talk to the whack jobs at Groezingers Wine Shop in Y'ville if you want the 411 on the local goings on.

Some balloon rides start behind The Railway Inn, too.

Good luck.
