international drive is home to just about every chain restaurant in the world. Some very nice restaurants in the hotels. Many of the restaurants on I.D. cater to the Mouse visitors and are anethma to the business traveller, however, this is the home of the theme park. You might call Chatham's which is doable from ID. It's off Sand Lake Dr. There are also some wonderful places at CityWalk, part of Universal.

I live in Orlando and I highly recommend "Restaurant Row" on Sand Lake Road. There are plenty of upscale restaurants - Thai Passion (Thai), Timpanos (Italian), Samba Room (Cuban), Roys(Pacific Rim), Amura (Japanese), Ruths Chris (Steak), Christinis (Italian), Bonefish (Seafood), etc. Short taxi ride.
