HELP-First Trip to Moab or Zion 6 days
Looking to book a trip in Oct., if that makes sense, for outstanding views & easy hikes for hubby and me.
Places to stay and must dos. |
Moab is better than Zion in that the two National Parks within reach have completely different landscape features. Both parks have easy access to important features.
Taken from the parking lot: There are also boat rides available from Moab. |
Suggest you look at the National Park websites and decide about the hikes. One thing to consider is that Arches requires a timed reservation through October unless you enter early (before 7) or late (after 4). Zion does not require timed entry but requires you to ride a shuttle. Both parks are very busy in October. Both allow you to stay in nearby towns and visit other parks (Bryce for Zion, Canyonlands for Moab). Zion is about an hour closer from the nearest major airport (Las Vegas).
