Frankie, I have been looking for your reply. :)
What we're having confusion with is that some of the vrbo descriptions regarding price are not clear. Some even include comments such as if you can't figure out the rate don't contact us. Turned us off of their place immediately. It is unclear when they say 20% off the reservation rate. Does that include tax, maid service and cleaning fee. Thanks for your vrbo #'s. I'll check them out. We would like a strip view and are even considering the 1 bedroom unit (but that may a waste of money). The units we're interested are in towera 1 and two.

cruzing, I remember the ad you're talking about, that completely turned me off too! I bet they lose a lot of business because of that rude line! Most owners are happy, I think, to give you a full quote.

hi frankie,

we checked both condos you stayed at and they were booked. What concerns me about booking thru vrbo in that I do not get the same answer from the individual owners. All I want to know is what their rate is and if that includes the maid fees, tax and $15 resort fee. I have not recieved the same answer twice. I have been told that Signature has changed their rules and you are required to pay maids fees and I only get that info from a couple of units, plus the rates vary. Some have said there is a $90 cleaning fee, others say their daily rate is 30, 35, 55,and 55! I do believe it's a better deal booking thru vrbo instead of the hotel, but I need to feel comfortable.

I agree, each owner seems to have different policies, so they must have leeway with their own charging, and it seems like it could be a little disingenuous to say it's "hotel policy" that we must charge so much for cleaning, etc...
We've had good luck with our Signature vrbo rentals, but if you don't feel comfortable, booking with the Signature directly may be better for your peace of mind!

frankie,
I think we have found 4 good units that we're going to choose from. We are trying to decide if we want mountain or strip view and how high up do we need to be. I think we are going to use a vrbo unit. We think we are comfortable withone of these units, just waiting for a reply from two condos. Thanks for your help. I doubt that we'll be in the unit much but we had wanted a strip view and theone with the best price is mountain. Ant comment on floor height?

Hi cruzing,

Strip view is nicer of course, but the room we had that was mountain view was fine too ...

Both times we've been on Penthouse floors, I think floor 30 on up,so I can't compare, but I have "heard" that these rooms have higher ceilings.

Hope that helped a little. Good Luck!

Thanks frankie. We're still waiting for a couple responses.

Two weeks ago we learned it is harder than ever to get around Las Vegas on foot or by car. Stay at the Venetian, which is much closer to other places of interest.
