Help! Can I take frozen food in a freezer bag as my carry-on? Flight leaves in 3 1/2 hrs!

Has anyone done this? I have frozen tenderloin and cooked shrimp for a party....
Please help?!!

Yes, you can. I do it all the time. I live in a very secluded area and bring various frozen food items from the US quite often.

You can actually take frozen food out of the US, too, but never fresh fruit or veg. However, be careful with beef, as certain destinations outside of the U.S. are leery of Mad Cow Disease (Belize, for example, requires you to get a special agricultural permit to bring beef in). If you freeze the food solid, it will keep frozen in one of those soft collapsible coolers for 12 hours or more.

Apparently bricks are now out - one was confiscated over Thanksgiving weekend.

I would think that frozen food is as much a security threat as a brick - similar in size, weight and hardness and perhaps even more deadly, depending on the cook!
