Bellagio! Its the tops in service, decor, food and gaming!

99% of the time I'd say Bellagio for those reasons Sue mentioned.

However, I would choose Venetian over Bellagio if the only rooms left at Bellagio were "pool" view. What that really means is highway view.

On a crowded weekend when the Lakeview rooms are unavailable and the highway view rooms are fully priced, I'd take a Strip view suite at the Venetian as it is likely to cost the same as the Bellagio options.

Bellagio because it is much more central.

Venetian is also lovely and if you are lucky enough to get a top floor apartment, stay there! I like to book a massage in their spa and hang out for several hours, even if I'm staying elsewhere.

Bellagio is a more beautiful hotel but the rooms are really quite ordinary (as far as basic luxury hotel rooms go). The Venetian on the other hand feels larger and less exclusive but the rooms are quite exceptional and I would say more luxurious. I stayed in a room which overlooked the fountains at Bellagio and I far preferred that to the Lakeview room I had at the Bellagio.

I've stayed at both recently. Given the choice, I would pick Bellagio everytime. While the standard rooms at Venetian are nicer than the standard rooms at Bellagio, I've always been able to upgrade at Bellagio just for asking. Also, the service is hands-down better at Bellagio. If you like to sit by the pool, the pool at Venetian is a disappointment, while the pools at Bellagio are gorgeous. I also prefer the casino at Bellagio.

I just threw away a mailing today from Bellagio for "club members" which offers rooms from now through August at $80 Sunday through Thursday, and I think $109 for Friday and Saturday. You might call them and ask about joining the Bellagio Club (no charge) and still getting that rate.

And the room service food at Bellagio is supeior to that of the Venetian, which is just AWFUL!!
