HELP - ALSAKA BEGINNER

We are looking forward to an Alaskan Cruise this summer. We don't want a giant ship - something mid-size (400-700 People). A bit upscale but not old and stodgy. Any suggestions on which cruise lines are the best? Which routes should we be looking for? What about cruise specialists? Thank all!

Look at Oceania Cruises - they have some excellent itineraries and sound like the product you have in mind.

Also look at the "West Coast Departures" and "Alaska" forums on Cruise Critic - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/

Consider doing a cruise/land package.

Look at Regent Seven Seas. Their ship, Navigator, does Alaska. It's a luxury line, and the ship holds 490.
