Parkland, I assume English is not your first language.
If I understand your question a bit you are going to San Francisco. You are interested in a store that has information about the American native Indians. About not finding it "in your book" are you referring to a book published by Fodors? Can you type your question again? Best wishes. |
Stores that are American Indian (Native American)..
Crooked street, meaning Lombard Street? Try google and see if you can find a shop with the name Spirit or Spirits..unless a San Francisco Fodorite sees this and answers.. Actually, if you post with your question in the title, you might get help quicker. Good luck~ |
LOL a store with American Indian merchandise, the word Spirit is in the name and it's near Lombard St?? Maybe the building is blue??

Hello darlin!
Since my days are now filled with decorating and shopping for a new home, I am amazed that I figured this one out LOL parkland wrote a nice little mystery to solve :) |
Hi dears, I think that maybe the poster is using the best English that he can. There are Native Americans in our SF Bay Area so maybe somebody here will understand and know the answer to the question. Vallejo just had their big annual POWWOW, and the coastline along the Carquinez Straight which is part of the subdivision that is between Vallejo and Benicia (but part of the city of Vallejo) evidently has thousands of Indians buried there. The Indian councils are trying to have it preserved as a sacred spot.

How about Aumakua which is a Hawaiian word for guardian spirit? It's imports from Indonesia and Thailand. It's on Fillmore St.

Used to be when people said "Indian" they meant the indigenous people of North America. Now you have to ask, "Dot or Feather?" parkland is not American Indian, nor East Indian.

OK, you're looking for Native American art somewhere in the vicinity of Lombard Street (the crooked road), is that right?
The people who write Fodor's guidebooks don't necessarily check in here. Try sending an email to [email protected] with your question. Title it "Native American Art - San Francisco" and maybe that will help you get a response. Good luck! Lee Ann |
Sorry, I posted too soon!
If you don't get the answer you're looking for here, try looking in the Lonely Planet guidebook or the Rough Guide. Or try Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree forums at www.lonelyplanet.com Lee Ann |
