Funny funny funny!

Well, if you have five babies, you could do like George Forman did, and name them all George...

My porn name: Rat Trap Hellerman! :) (sounds more like a wrestler than a porno star!)

OliveOyl Jan 22nd, 2004 03:47 AM

joan, what on earth kind of pet did you have that it was named rat trap?
agreed, not a good porn name. lol oh..i love my husband's porn name, jake 13...snicker snicker....

Diana Jan 22nd, 2004 03:51 AM

Olive, your husband's porno name sounds about like my hubby's:

King Tuna

I tried not to let my imagination run wild with it.

(I think I was more amazed that he grew up on "Tuna" Street than anything else!)

(???)

OO I had a beautiful sleek white cat, and of course my seven year old self wanted to name her Princess...but my dad got to call the shots in those days, and with his awesome sense of humor, chose Rat Trap (try yelling that out the front door at dinnertime). That's OK because when I grew up and got married, I named MY first cat after him: Herbie! (You should have seen his face when, shortly after we married, I presented his "big news" wrapped in blankets, declaring "we named it after you Dad"). Sick family humor eh?

OliveOyl Jan 22nd, 2004 04:30 AM

joan...i love your dad's sense of humor--sounds like something my dh would do too. cute story!

Islandmom; heard a beautiful name for a girl that is also a place; Palmyra.

ncgrrl Jan 22nd, 2004 07:29 AM

I came to a realization that my porn name is also my brother's porn name. Yikes, kind of sickening.

From the my porn name web site I'm Eden Star.

Islandmom, I saw on you poll web site you were going for a rain themed name. There is a book "Rainey" by Clyde Edgerton and the main character about a girl named Rainey. Book stores and libraries here in NC have the book, but I don't know for where you live.

Are you sure you don't want to use Sandy? My ego won't be completely shattered, but slightly hurt.

Islandmom,

I went to college with a girl named Niar, which is Rain spelled backwards. Beautiful name.

Austin Jan 22nd, 2004 07:39 AM

Niar? Looks like a dislexic mom thought of that while removing hair from her legs.

wow Jan 22nd, 2004 07:58 AM

Oh, yeah...and this child's middle name cld be Teels ( sleet spelled backwards) Niar Teels...Hey! How about Madison Teels Niar...initials MTN!

islandmom Jan 23rd, 2004 12:20 AM

Thanks for the book and name ideas. We're always on the lookout until the big day. Still like things like -
China
Ireland
Paris

but probably won't use them.

After Paris Hilton, no one is allowed to name their defenseless baby girl "Paris" for at least 20 years.

BrimhamRocks Jan 23rd, 2004 11:02 AM

When I was pregnant, we decided not to find out if the baby was a boy or girl, so we had to pick out names of both genders. We eventually settled on another boy's name (and our baby did turn out to be a boy), but for a while I wanted to use the name Perris, for a boy. I had been to Paris twice, and always thought that would make a nice name, but I liked the Perris spelling better than the Paris one.

Wonder if I would have regretted it, after the Paris Hilton soap opera?

I LOL at Rat Trap!!! I am the owner of a tradional name and so is my husband. These are names usually ended with Smith or Doe (we actually thought of changing to that when we were younger)my dh refuses to go by his name as it is a toilet as far as he is concerned.

I must add my mother refused to be called "Grandma" and wanted to be called (and is called) Granny Franny. BUT...my oldest couldn't say it when he was little, he called her Ganny Fanny. It stuck. However her last name is (I am not kidding) O'Rear.....she is proud to be Fanny O'Rear. She calls her husband by their last name. And he has a brother named Dick.

I went to school with a Velveeta and a VaGina (vah-geena). I know twins named Chevelle and Chevette. And have heard the lemonjello/orangejello story here too.

I also like "Stormy".

theladyjess Jan 24th, 2004 10:08 AM

I went to church with two sisters named Harmony and Melody. I guess their parents where into the whole music thing.

ARKANSASNURSE Jan 28th, 2004 05:41 PM

Hey I like Ivy Rain.....

Ryan Jan 28th, 2004 05:58 PM

Nair, now I understand why someone I know is named Parc.

elizabeth_reed Jan 29th, 2004 04:19 AM

Nair -- middle name "Wob"?

I know a young girl named "Ivy Rose"; it suits her. And a high school acquaintance was named "Melody" -- her dad was a music teacher.
