Healdsburg B&B Grape Leaf Inn or Farmhouse Inn?
My husband and I are planning a trip to the wine country for our 30th birthdays and 5th year anniversary.
We are looking at spending 4 nights at either the Grape Leaf Inn or the Farmhouse Inn. Any suggestions? |

They are both lovely places to stay. Depends on what you two are looking for, I guess.

My husband and I stayed at the Grape Leaf Inn a few years ago and loved it. The innkeepers were just wonderful, breakfast was delicious and the Speakeasy downstairs for snacks and wine was great. I highly recommend it.

HA-HA-HA Kal !
slevine-I'd pick the Grape Leaf because it's closer to the Plaza in Healdsburg and thus many fantastic restaurants, tasting rooms and shops. The Farmhouse Inn is about 20 mins to the south from downtown Healdsburg via West side road. Due to it's location on busy River Road, rooms can be noisy if you get one close to the road. There is not much around there so you'd have to drive everywhere-their restaurant is good. Stay at the Grape Leaf. Now back to our "watch"... ((o)) R5 |
This is great information - thank you so much!
I just made our reservation at Grape Leaf Inn. We are looking forward to it - too bad we have to wait another 5 months. |
You made a good choice. We have stayed at the Grape Leaf two times. One time was the Zinfandel Room then the Merlot. Great spot to stay in Healdsburg area.
One tip: Our rooms were upstairs and quieter than the rooms downstairs. Try to pick your room in advance. Do go downstairs to the basement bar for wine tasting in the evening. You meet your fellow residents and the wine is good. It is also easy to walk into town for dinner. Beats having to drive and look for parking. |
