Heading to New Orleans for Superbowl

Hey folks, I'm heading to New Orleans to watch the Superbowl from some packed bar in the French Quarter, rooting for my beloved Saints. I can't imagine the excitement if the Saints win!

Anyone else headed there? Which bar will you be at? Just wondering if anyone else is doing the same thing...

I wish. Not only would it be great to experience NOLA during that time period, I'd really like to meet you and talk New Orleans!

Got a bar in mind yet?

Our weekend trip down there is coinciding with the Super Bowl but we haven't decided where to watch the game yet. Hopefully this thread will helpful with good bar suggestions.

I think it's going to be a really fun atmosphere! And, as the Colts beat my beloved Bears in the Super Bowl a few years ago, we will definitely be rooting for your Saints!

Maria, see this thread:

They suggest Johnny White's or Cooter Browns.

By the way, I rooted for "da Bears" against the Vikings so we could have the homefield advantage. Y'all played great that night! Your win gave us homefield advantage against MN and helped us get to the Superbowl.

Ha! I'm glad our terrrrrible season had a bright spot for you!

Thanks for the link, we will have to check one of those bars out on game day. Or get a "go cup" and switch between the two at half time? Just because that sort of thing is legal down there!

Have a good time, if they win (hopefully) it is likely to make Mardi Gras look like a tea party.
