Hawk's Cay, FL Keys, opinions?

Planning a getaway for 2 couples. Considering a villa. Has anyone stayed here? Thanks

Hawk's Cay has a reputation for being a great place for vacationing with children. For two couples, I'd head on down to Key West.

Went there several years ago. Not sure why the person advised moving on except there is not a lot of night life--but enough. It is lovely property--good food. I do wish they had let the melon on the breakfast buffet get ripe however. Another place I really love is Cheeca Lodge on Islamarado. Very classy. Better than Hawk's Cay.

The middle and upper Keys are only fun if you have a boat, enjoy fishing and/or snorkeling/ diving. Hawk's Cay is more total package resort so they'll have trips for you to take. Depending on your lifestyle and what you're looking to do would influence whether to go down to Key West. Fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, relaxing by a pool, stay at Hawk's Cay. If you want to do any shopping, night life, party, let loose, get wild, then head down to Key West.
