I know Kauai is pretty rainy in the winter, but what about the other islands? Where would we have the best chance of finding 80 degree weather and clear, sunny skies in the dead of January?

We've found good weather in Maui in January. Sometimes you have to drive to another part of the island to find the sun, but the weather is always very warm. And you get the whales for free.

I love Maui, but can't always recommend Maui in January. Too often, I've run into rain during this month.

Hi, the very best weather in the islands is in Honolulu/Waikiki...day in & day out.
As for rain, it rains less on the Kona Coast of the Big Island than anywhere else in the islands. It is the best bet for your required weather stats.

Try the leeward coast of Oahu. Hot and sunny year round. On the few days of the year it rains out in this area then you know for sure the entire island is socked in.
