Are you kidding me! Just throw about 3-4 bathing suits, some towels, flip flops and and a beach dress in your suitcase. What more do you need?

Jessmaire, it seems you have good thoughts regarding the wardrobe issue so I won't throw in any more suggestions except to offer the thought if flipflops bother your husband's feet you can buy him a pair of sandals that are not flipflops when you are in Hawaii. But I do want to send my very sincere thanks to your husband who is making such a sacrifice for us as are you! As a person who has had so many military people in the family I know and understand what you both are going through. So hugs from me to you two and again many thanks for the sacrifices that you are both making. And of course my very best wishes for a beautiful and joyous time together in Hawaii ((F))

My husband gets mad at me when I make sure he has packed one pair of long pants. He never ends up wearing them and they have simply taken up space in his suitcase. He even wore nice shorts to Alan Wong's -- twice.
