Hawaii Tropical Hurricane Season?

I live in the southeast where we have been dealing with hurricane after hurricane! Season is from June-November and we are at peak right now. My question is: What is the tropical hurricane season in Hawaii? I will be arriving October 22. I sure don't want to be caught up in any more tropical weather!

We have the same season as you...but the two worst hurricanes in recent times (`Iwa and `Iniki) occurred toward the end of our "season".

Thanks! I think....I just happen to be a hurricane magnet! For any of you locals out there- better watch the weather the week of October 22 while I am there!

I lived on Oahu during Hurricane Iwa (wasn't it November 1982?) and I don't remember it being as bad as it was here in Florida a few weeks ago with Frances!
