depends on what your likes and dislikes are Ginn. Some people like all the activity on Oahu. Oahu is good for Historical and cultural stuff, plenty of parks for kids (sealife park, a water park etc...) Best Restaurants of all the islands .Some people go stir crazy with beach and hike activities.<BR><BR><BR>I think most people have an outdoor vacation in mind though when the choose Hawaii and so I don't understand why someone would send you to Oahu first. Took guests to Kauai first and they loved it.

Thanks George... we're lucky enough right now that we're still in the "booking" part.. so I will definitely look at Kauai as another option. The package that I have right now is such a good deal for Oahu (8 days) over the Labor Day weekend, staying at the Imperial at Waikiki (whole pkg land+air = $3k for 5 people). Any thoughts?
