Hawaii or Carribean?

Hi, what's your opinion on vacationing at Hawaii versus the Carribean (USVI) for families with small children (age 1-2). Our goal is to enjoy white sandy beaches and blue green waters and just relax at a good beach resort for 4-5 days.

There are great hotel deals in Hawaii right now. Airliner seats are a bit tight though.

If you are not on the West coast, because of the distance and time spent to get to Hawaii, you need to go for at least 7 days(and some say 10),if not--- go to the Caribbean.

Wow, that's a no brainer...if you are on the west coast, go to Hawaii, East Coast, go to the Caribbean. I wouldn't put my body thru the jet lag of Hawaii for 4 or 5 days. Year before last I turned down a 5 day Hawaii trip from East Coast. Too hard on the system for such a short period of time. But then again I'm soooo old...LOL You young things can do it a lot easier....

If distance is equal, it sounds like the USVI might be more what you are looking ofr. The beaches and water in Hawaii, while beautiful, are not as spectacular as the Carribean. To me, it is a shame to just lay around while in Hawaii...there are so many cool things to do! The Carribean is the place to go to kick back and relax.
