Hawaii -November or June

Which month would be better to go to Oahu and Kauai? We could go for 9 days in November next year or June. My husband likes to surf, we hike, and would like to avoid massive crowds and/or highest prices. We love the sun and snorkeling. Thanks for your advice!

Krowe:
I think it would depend what time in June, I was there from end of May to June 14th and I think we left right before high season, which if I am not mistaken starts around mid June. The weather was perfect (no rain, and great to be in the water) not sure what it’s like in November (if it rains or not) I would love to visit at that time to see the whales, if this is not a priority for you and you could be there first of the month I think you may enjoy it more. You’ll have a great time. Hope this helped.

Memorial Day weekend starts the summer season.

So it is generally less expensive to go in November.

summers will be more crowded, but better for sun & snorkeling.

Lots of info including sites with free brochures for all islands:

I would do June ... more flowers, sweeter fruit, less rain/humidity than November. Of course, I'd go anytime BUT, given a choice, June is one of my favorite times there!

I agree with Dusty about it would be less crowded in November.

A couple of other things about going in November is the surf should be better and I believe the humpbacks start migrating to Hawaii.

Remember school is out in many states for the summer.
