Hawaii - Maui and Kauai

Hi everyone,
My husband and I are planning our first trip to Hawaii for our honeymoon at the end of September. We will have 10 days (nine nights), flying into Maui and departing from Honolulu. We are thinking of visiting Maui and Kauai as we are interested mostly in nature. Would a trip made of 5 nights in Maui, 3 nights in Kauai and 1 on Oahu make sense for our first trip? Any unique useful tips/ideas are most welcome.
Thank you in advance!
L~

I love both Maui and Kauai but if your interests run more to nature I think 5 nights on Kauai and 3 on Maui would suit you better .. lots of nature on Maui too but Kaui is more just enjoy the island .....Maui has lots of shoppping and more populated ... IMHO ...

Nightlife on Maui...Outdoor life on Kauai?

With a short amount of time on Kauai, I'd suggest a place on the East Coast so trips won't be quite as far.

Consider 5 nights on Kauai and 3 on Maui or 4 and 4. If you have an evening departure from Oahu you may not have to overnight there at all because the inter-island connections don't take very long.

I agree with the previous posts that recommend 5 nights on Kauai and 3 nights on Maui. A better split for people more nature oriented.

swap the oahu night for a kauai night

5 nights Maui & 4 nights Kauai. Skip Oahu this trip.

Lots of info including sites with free brochures for all islands:
