ANY TIME is a good time to go to Hawaii. November through April is "winter" in the islands, and it is a bit cooler and wetter (the northern parts of the islands, in particular) then. Early November is really the "shoulder" season when the weather could go either way. Just stay on the southern parts of the islands ... for example, Poipu on Kauai, Wailea-Kihei on Maui, Waikiki-Kailua on Oahu, the Kohala/Kona Coast of Big Island.
Don't worry about whatever rain you get in Hawaii. That's what keeps it green, lush and beautiful, and the showers are usually short!

November is a good time to go as it is the slow season, before the Christmas holidays.
I'd chose a hotel in the Wailea area of Maui for the best weather. You won't be disappointed. It hardly ever rains there. Really.
