Hawaii Dinner How far in advance for reservations?

Previous post I asked the best palces for Honeymoon Dinner in Maui & Kauai? How far in advance do I need to make res.? Thanks for help

Depends on the place. Wouldn't hurt to call ahead for the more popular times. We called when we got there and had no problems but we were there 11 days after 9/11 not many peeps in the area. If it's going to be a special dinner I'd call before I left to make sure the reservations were in place. If it's not special and you're just looking for good eats you could probably call a day or two ahead.

Sam,
If you want a "sunset table" at The Beach House in Poipu, you may wish to call a few weeks ahead as suggested by Suz.
Maybe the same with some other popular restaurants like Roy's, A Pacific Cafe, etc.

But if you're going to have to wait for a table, Kauai's not a bad place to wait, especially at The Beach House.
Mahalo and 41 mo' days!
Kal

ps to Suz..."Peeps"? Is that E. R-town "street talk" or are you really talking about those little marshmellow Easter candies? ;^D
Old Laihaina Luau as soon as possible. Noted chef like Alan Wong on Oahu also as soon as possible.

Ok let me stop laughing before I respond... I'm ok now. Actually since we were there out of the typical Easter period there was not a single marshmallow chick to be had.

Say, aren't you supposed to be tasting wine somewhere?

Suz,
I AM tasting wine right now...please don't tell my boss! A fine Carneros Pinot with my salmon, onion scramble!

Forgot about Surt's on the Beach up in Haena area. Charo's old place. Right near the No.Shore beach so the o'spray hits your face if you get a window seat.

Hope it's still open. The gal there made some homemade chili sauce that still causes me to sweat just thinking about it. Went well with the Bloody Mary's for brunch.
Mahalo
