Hawaii car rental

After searching for an hour for our rental car on Maui and Honolulu, I found a place that actually answers the phone! http://www.hawaiicarrental.com/
That was a pleasent surprise, but even better, they came up with the lowest rates I found on either island.
It was easy, I wish I started there.
P.S if you go to Maui, try to stay overnight in Hana, one day just gives you enough time to drive there and back, that was the most memorable thing we did while in the islands. Cant wait to come back.

It's always interesting when something that sounds suspiciously like an advertisement for a business, also turns out to be the one & only post from a newly registered poster
;-)

Your right, I just registered today, I wanted to share my opinion like everyone else here, excuse me if I did something to offend you. I would like to add more posts as I travel quite a bit, maybe I will go to another site. Geez!

Oh dear, please don't go away mad. I wasn't trying to offend you nor was I offended myself by your post. It's just most new posters ask some questions, tell us about an upcoming trip, like that, rather than recommend one particular business. Please feel free to post away. Contribute more. Tell us all about Hawaii.

Interesting...if you have a PC...why wouldn't you search the net versus calling? Isn't it expensive to call Hawaii? I found GREAT deals with Thrifty on the islands...for Convertable rentals! 8-)

Suze, you offended me by being too nice!

I've also found Hawaii Car Rental to be very good. I also contact them through email and they usually have the cheapest rate.

Welcome imMello. I myself have a manditory minimun of 3 nights when visiting Hana! Look forward to hearing more about your plans of a return.

Don't mind suze, she's just a little trigger happy. After you've hung out here awhile you'll see why. Too often first time posters are here only to advertise their businesses. It gets tiresome.

I think I need to start planning my next trip asap... I've only been back two weeks... and I'm pretty sure there's quite a bit of shopping I forgot to do in Waikiki

I made reservations through Discount Hawaii Car Rental and scored a convertible for the lowest price I could find, even lower than the place imMello mentions.

Nine more days!

I've found that the best rates - by far - are booked through Costco. In fact, the price of our 2 week rental in June on Kauai (Alamo) is now nearly 1/2 of what is was just a few months ago. they have a really great rate on a Mid-size SUV - $329 for 2 weeks, including all taxes and fees, and no extra charge for another driver. Join Quicksilver for free and go right to your car.
