Hawaii Beach House/Condo Rentals
 

I'm looking to rent a 1 or 2BR house/cottage or condo on either the Big Island or Kauai. Where are the best locations to focus on that have clean, white sand beaches?

FYI, the closest thing to white sand beaches that we have seen in H((R))I are located on the windward coast of Oahu, while the beautiful, clean, sandy beaches found on the Big Island and Kaua`i are generally more golden than white, and are not as white as those in the caribbean, IMHO. :S-

whitesands: Once you decide your location on each island, I highly recommend using vrbo.com to find a rental. We go to Hawaii for two weeks each April. The second week is a time share on Waikiki, but I always use vrbo to find a rental for the first week. I haven't been disappointed yet with what is available on the site.

The golden sands of Hanalei Bay would be my suggestion.

Beaches such as Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea (Kauna`oa) on the Kohala coast of the Big Island and Poipu Beach and Hanalei Beach in southern and northern Kaua`i respectively, have been selected to be among Hawaii's and America's top beaches to name a few, as long as you don't mind a few ~:>~:>~:> on northern Kaua`i of course.
