What is the water like in Hawaii? Is it clear? Around Hilton Vilage is the water calm? Good visibilty?

We have for the most part had good experiences snorkeling at Hanauma Bay on Oahu.

when will you be there? The water is more calm in winter, less so in late summer.

Isn't this backwards? I always thought the waves were the biggest in winter, hence that's &quot;surfing season&quot;?
