what is the best way to travel to hawaii. I heard you get more for your money if you travel by cruise. Since, food, hotel and logging and so very expensive. Any advide

Several cruise lines go between Ensenada, Mexico and Hawaii. But it takes almost two weeks in each direction. If that's how you want to spend your vacation, then more power to you. Personally I'd rather spend half a day on a plane and the rest of the time on the islands.

Ugh. Can't imagine spending/wasting all those days at sea. You might want to fly there and then cruise.

I do want to fly in to Hawaii, then cruise about 4 to 5 islands.

Ah, I see. You wrote "travel TO Hawaii" but meant "travel AROUND Hawaii". Depending upon prevailing airfare rates you might end up saving some money and would be able to see several islands without ever having to pack/unpack as you switch hotels. Personally I'd rather have more control over where I have dinner (since the cruise lines often leave port early evening or even mid-afternoon) but if you were going to be eating at a hotel anyway, then a cruise might be a good choice. Do you have much experience with cruise lines?

Hawaiian cruises are fine if you are nearing 70, don't like to do much on land except get driven around in buses, and are more interested in discussing food at buffets than the history and evolution of the islands.

I prefer to go to visit 1-2 island (depending on how much time you have) and I plan my own trips. There is no reason Hawaii has to be "very expensive" if you stay in economical hotels and avoid high-end restaurants. There's lots of things to do for free, and plenty of cheaper & fun places to eat.

The Hawaiian cruises don't get very good reviews, generally speaking.

I also recommend staying on one or two islands.
