Hi. I can tell you a few things about Maui. My husband and I went there at the end of May. we stayed at the Mahanain Kannapolli.,this is in west Maui.,it is also a condo. It was very nice. our room faced the ocean.all units face the ocean. As for golf, my husband played at sandlewood. there are a lot of nice restraunts on Maui. we went to the Royal Lahaina for their Luau, the food was good this is also a hotel form what I see. a nice one, this is also right on the beach. as for things to do, as snokiling, Trilogy, is very good to go on. they have many diierent trips to choose from, their nunber,1-888MAUI-800.also have a very nice trip.

Before our first trip to maui I picked up the "Maui
handbook" by J.D. Bisignani. Was very helpful. Lots of info on just about everything.
As for great restaurants, head for Lahaina..
Longhi's on Front street is fantastic. Catch a dinner at sunset.Great view..For a great burger plus
a view, Cheeseburger in Paradise..cheap too!!!

Aloha

Forget Cheeseburger in Paradise- total rip off! We can never understand why people line up to get in- I can tell you it's not the food and more likely the name. I've lived on Maui for several years and welcome you to write me with any questions that you have about Maui!

-Sarah

Try these restaurants on Maui. Most are a bit upscale but terrific. You want good food don't you, above and beyond the average home town restaurant?
Mama's Fish House
David Paul's
A Pacific Cafe
Carolli's
Kimo's
Roy's
Longhi's
Also check the visitors channel as they do a great review of all of the very best restaurants.

Too bad you cannot alter your plans and see the island of Kauai. Very calm atmosphere and beautiful scenery with plenty of "greenery". The golfing is terrific, esp. at the Princeville courses in Princeville. World renowned Prince course is here. You won't be disappointed if you skip Oahu and see Kauai and Maui instead. My opinion only.

Aloha

How long are you staying in Hawaii. My wife and I have been there 3 times and are returning this October. We could give you some of our thoughts but not knowing how much time you have we would probably give you more then you would want or possibly more then you could do. Drop us an e-mail if your interested and we will be glad to help.

Jim & Margaret
