Joel is great. Spice can get cheezy with the midtown scene if you stay too late.

I have been to both Cavu and Spice, but not Joel. I think Joel is the more upscale of the 3 though. Cavu is a great relaxed environment directly across the street from SPice on Piedmont. It has a natural appeal to it, with comfortable lounge with sofas. It always has a martini crowd at the bar when I go there. Spice offers more sophistication in its decor, and seems a bit more uptight to me as well. The food is great, it is a nice people-watching place, but I would choose Cavu over Spice time and again... if people-watching is your thing, though, why not Blue Pointe??

I went to all of these restaurants...
Joel is beautiful and we had a great time but the food was not worth the money...excellent service and exvery thing was o.k. but for $400 for a couple you kind of expect GREAT food...Cavu was worth the money, good atmosphere, food, etc. would go back ...only $170 that night ( we drink nice wine, hence the $$$)..
