I will soon be receiving my first Rapid Rewards tickets from Southwest. I understand this will be good for 1 year. Will this have black out dates? Do they include free drink coupons? Thanks, Keli

Yes, both my daughter and I have received and used the Rapid Rewards "tickets" - including during the holidays if you reserve early enough. There are drink coupons included with your letter from SWA.

Blackout days for 2003 are: May 23 and 26, July 3 and 6, November 25, 26,and 30 and December 1,24,27,28.

Rapid Rewards award tickets are great. They are transferrable and can be used one way at a time and they are not capacity controlled. As long as there is a seat available(at any price) you can use your award ticket for free travel

The coupon book you receive with the tickets are drink coupons....used for what else...free drinks!
