Has anyone used ebay for lodging?

Any negative or positive experience you can share. I want to bid on a condo in Hawaii but I just want to make sure they're legit. Thanks.

Never used it for lodging. I'd check feedback. If it's over 50 or so, and all good, it's probably OK.

I've used lodging on ebay at least 10 times...everything from hotels to timeshares in Hawaii, even airline upgrade certificates. So far so good. I've been very pleased. 99.9% of all ebayer's go over and above with the full disclosures. A negative feedback rating is brutal and they will do everything to be honest, if they're in it for the long run. Email the seller with any questions and make sure you know what you're bidding on.<BR> Check the remarks posted for the seller, this will be a good indication. Don't go with anyone with negative feedback. I love ebay and buy (and sell) often on it. I just bought some Broadway tickets for NYC on there today. YEA! Melinda

I would never purchase accommodations unless the person selling actually OWNS the place. I've heard of someone purchasing a room that was actually booked by someone else. The "purchaser" was turned away by the hotel!
