Terri, I have used Capital Reservations at least 6 times. They are great. The people on the phone are always very patient and helpful. I have never made the res. on line--only by phone but I'm sure the on-lone res. is just fine. I always seeem to have a few questions I need from real people. Give them a call about the 2 room thing.
We stayed at Loews a few years ago on one of their deals. Decent hotel but there are no restaurants nearby for dinner which we found frustrating. If you don't mind eating at the hotel restaurant or cabbing it to a restaurant you are all set.

Terri i am not familiar with the location of the Crowne Plaza. We (husband, daughter and myself) have been to DC many times and prefer the Dupont Circle area because of the number of restaurants nearby. There is also a metro stop right there.
It puts you close to Georgetown (we usually walk to G'town and cab it back) and near to the downtown restaurants in addition to the variety of choices in the Dupont area. There is a Hilton a Westin, Embassy Suites and some cute smaller places in the area. On the Capital Res. sight they break down their inventory by areas so if you are interested in this location you can see whats available. And as I said, they have been very helpful on the phone.
Don't know if you are going in the summer or if you have kids but we usually book a place with a pool!
Happy to give any more info. if needed!
